Is DADA only Bengal's Pride not India's!

Today I found a worthless discussion going around that Kolkata people only love Sourav Ganguly ... and nowhere else he has got Fans. As a cricket fan I was quite disheartened.

As a Indian whom do you choose as your hero, Dhoni or Afridi ? Of course Dhoni right! And if tomorrow there is some unfortunate decision imposed against him by ICC, won't we stand beside him , won't we have a nation Voice supporting for him.
Therefore I don't find any harm in Kolkata people supporting Dada Passionately after all he was one of the kolkata's shining star, not because he is bengali but because he played wonderfully.
Kolkata people are not provincial we love the game , we love Sachin as much as we love Sourav, and any injustice against any one of them makes us angry.... it’s just called Passion...... not Provincialism.
However let me make few stats clear Sourav has given opportunity to lots of cricketer who are hero of today where he was never concerned about if he was from North or South or East or West. Few of his findings are star of today’s Indian Cricket team and are playing for nation.
Sourav Ganguly has always proven himself again and again that he is India's one of the best cricketer Produced.
Let’s not discuss about if he should be in IPL or not, because we have heard hell lots of debate on National TV about it.It happens only in India were a fraud like Jadeja and non-performing players like Siddhu (Chatter-box) like to talk against a legendry Cricketer and mint money. So let’s not discuss about this worthless topic.
Let all of them live in peace with what they are doing since we are in democracy. Lets Selectors reject Sourav, lets Dada enjoy commentary , lets Jadeja,Siddhu enjoy criticizing , and let us support whomever we want.
There has always been this Question “ Will Dada be or not” ... I think it’s time to move on... let him be happy with whatever he is doing.
Let Men-in-Blue Play on 30th March 2011 and beat Pakistan.  Let us enjoy a day of cricket.

  1. Your post on Sourav Gangully aka Dada is intriguing. I too agree that it is dada who should be credited for building team india. There are lot of Indians who knew this, but may not join us in the matter, but deep in their heart, they adorn Sourav and his cricketing skills. Dada we love you

  2. You are absolutely right. No doubt about it. One thing I would like to tell. There are people you will meet day in and day out who don’t even know what the game cricket is all about, what is the difference between a good cricketer, a great cricketer and a legend.

Very few know about the Indian cricket before 1999 and Indian cricket after 1999 and about the person who changed the grammar of the Indian cricket. Giving respect to someone is bigger thing than to criticizing. The later is easier for those who actually hide their personal frustration by showing disrespect to great people, even without knowing what they are saying and whom they are talking about. Sachin even had to face this kind of people two years back, so? There are always less witted people around .

We love our country and we love all those people who bring glory to brighten the tri-color of our national flag. We salute them for taking India in a greater height in their own ways, so that when we go abroad we can proudly present ourselves as an Indian rather than a Bengali, a Punjabi, a South Indian or etc etc.
